Poppa’s Place is committed to serving our community by providing information, referrals, mentorship and peer advocacy support.
At Poppas Place Inc we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We believe in taking action directly and with urgency in order to help someone be successful with their "Get Better Process". WHAT WE DO
Helping those who do not, have never or don't know how to make that first step on their journey to "Get Better", however that get better looks to them is the most important goal of our organization. We seek to support, empower, and provide fact based health, social and educational resources to our community in a safe and culturally inclusive environment. Our success isn’t measured in terms of wealth or profit margin, but by the value we provide to those we serve.
Using Social Distancing protocols in place 55 Holiday Take-Away Meals Served.
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. During the 2020 and 2021 Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays Poppas Place Staff & Volunteers served delicious holiday take-away dinners from 3 board members residences and fed approximately 55 individuals and families in our Bronx community.
Medical & Mental Health Referrals
At Poppas Place Inc , we are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing this issue. Accessing Medical & Mental Health services and consistent follow-ups are by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment we believe we can facilitate progress in this area. We are always striving to make a difference, and continue to look for and link with community based Health Care facilities and pharmacies to provide street-level outreach and referrals to people facing challenges to connect to services.
Homeless Outreach
With this initiative, our goal is to promote and provide the most current and up to date information about opportunities for those in need. During the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic MTA partnered with larger Nonprofit Organizations providing Shelter to the Homeless. Poppas Place Staff escorted and accompanied Individuals to area End of the Line Subway Stations and waited with individuals needing these services until they were safely and securely engaged and taken to Shelters & Safe Havens.
Harm Reduction strategies & Treatment Referrals
We at Poppas Place share a past struggle in this area and have achieved a better quality of life. A Couple of members on Staff having been former CASACs are here to explore the benefits of Harm Reduction and also can refer anyone to Alcohol & Substance Abuse Treatment.

Poppa's Place Inc is an IRS tax exempt 501c3 Charity Organization. Incorporated by the New York Department of State in Nov. 2020I have had some WONDERFUL ANGELS who donated in the past and it helped the organization's street engagement efforts tremendously also our efforts to promote What We Do! Cannon Ink cartridges cost $40/ $50 alone as an expense and I'm talking purple PPI minivans God I love vision but I need you 👆🏾to help $5 or $500 it all goes into Poppas Place.
